| The following is our schedule for the weekly meetings:
14th Feb - Spaced night - Celebrate the genius that is Simon Pegg before the release of his new film Hot Fuzz. 21st Feb - Discussion - Comic Adaptions - There has been a recent spate of comic book adaptions - Spiderman, Superman, Batman, Fantastic Four, etc. What do you think of these? What do you want to see next? What would you do if given a huge budget? 28th Feb - Anime night - Our monthly anime night 7th Mar - New Film Night - Choose from some of the latest releases on DVD 14th Mar - USA new episodes - Catch the latest from America 21st Mar - Discussion - You’re In Charge! - If you were in charge of your favourite TV Show/Film/Book, what would you change? Why? What new shows/films would you create? 28th Mar - Anime night - Our monthly anime night 4th Apr - EASTER BREAK - Pub Night 11th Apr - EASTER BREAK - Pub Night 18th Apr - Discussion - Celebrity Deathmatch - Everyone will write down a character name and put them into a hat. Everyone will randomly select from this and defend their selection in a no-holds-barred Deathmatch. Who’s the coolest character? The Bravest? The Baddest? 25th Apr - Anime night - Our monthly anime night 2nd May - Spiderman night - Before the release of Spiderman 3, rewatch some old classics 9th May - Film - 28 days later - Before the release of the sequel 28 Weeks later 16th May - Discussion - Balloon Debates - Your chance to rant about everything and anything in the world of SF 23rd May - EXAM PERIOD - MEMBER’S CHOICE NIGHT - Due to exams cutting into people’s free time, choose from the selection that members bring. Got a favourite show/film, members might be interested in – bring it along! 30th May - DITTO 6th June - DITTO 13th June - DITTO 20th Jun - Finale Night – how did the new seasons in USA end? A chance to watch and discuss their finishes. 27th Jun - Anime night – our monthly anime night

| In addition to having different events at each weekly meeting, we also host other events from time to time on different days of the week. Here is the schedule for it: 16th Feb – Film: Hot Fuzz and/or Science of Sleep 23rd Feb – Film: Number 23 2nd Mar – Film: Ghost Rider and/or The Hills Have Eyes II and/or Wind Chill 7th Mar – Film: Pathrider 10th Mar – EVENT: Buffy the Vampire Slayer 10th Anniversary Party 16th Mar – Film: Sunshine 23rd Mar – Film: Stardust and/or Bridge to Terabithia 30th Mar – Film: Meet the Robinsons and/or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 13th Apr – Film: The Reaping 30th Apr – OUTING: Laserquest 2nd May – Film: Spiderman 3 – FREE FILM FOR ALL MEMBERS 11th May – Film: 28 Weeks Later 15th Jun – Film: Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer 4th July – Film: Transformers 6th July – Film: Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End 13th July – Film: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Please note that at the moment, all films trips, unless otherwise stated are to Yorkgate Movie House. Tickets are booked in advance so if you say you are going and don’t turn up, you are still liable for the £3 cost. If you fail to turn up three times, tickets will no longer be brought for you. |
